Not the state exam

To successfully make an exam appointment you must have your Professional School of Business Student ID Number. The number was given to you on your first day of class and should in the front of your book on the School Exam Instruction sheet. If you do not have it please speak with your instructor.

 You must pass your course final examination within one year of the date that you started the course (six months under any discounted tuition program).

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING

  • Do not make an appointment before entering the final week of your course

  • The first exam for each course is free. There is a $15 charge for each retake examination for each course payable at the exam session.

  • You may only make one appointment at a time

  • To cancel or change an exam appointment you must do so at least 24 hours before the exam. If you fail to cancel or reschedule your exam at least 24 hours in advance, and fail  to appear to your exam appointment, you will be charged a $10 fee. If you make an appointment for less than 24 hours from now, you will be unable to change or cancel it.

  • You will need to present positive identification at the examination session (drivers license, etc.)

  • No books, papers, bags, cell phones or other unnecessary items will be allowed in the test room. Please do not bring these items with you. Scrap paper will be provided for you and must be returned with your exam.

  • Please remember to bring a No. 2 pencil to the exam session with you

  • Calculators are permitted for real estate exams only, but must be battery powered, small, silent, and may not have an alphabetic key pad or paper printer

  • Exam sessions are a maximum of 3½ hours long. Extra time will only be granted with prior approval.

  • Breaks during the exam for personal reasons are permitted only with permission and will be limited to 5 minutes and you may not leave the building or make phone calls. Multiple breaks will not be allowed.  

  • It is your responsibility to determine your eligibility to take an exam.

    • Tuition and other fees must be paid in full

    • Attendance requirements must have been satisfied within 1 year of course beginning date (6 months under any discounted tuition program)

    • Exam must be passed within one year of course beginning date (6 months under any discounted tuition program)

  • Successfully making an exam appointment through this web site does not necessarily confirm eligibility

  • Any incident of cheating or theft of exam material will result in invalidation of your test and may jeopardize your eligibility for licensure

  • It is not necessary to arrive more than 10 minutes before the starting time of the exam

  • Late arrivals may not be admitted

  • Pass or Fail test results will be available the next business day (Monday thru Friday) following your exam by calling (973)564-8686. You must have your School ID number when you call. Actual test scores will be mailed to you or may be picked up at your request.
